The client is a highly successful major player in the supply of quality frozen, chilled, fresh and ambient food to the UK catering industry. With revenues in excess of £2 billion it is renowned for its truly excellent products, superior service, outstanding sales performance and the delivery of exceptional business growth. With strong market potential and a desire for future expansion, they wish to strengthen their independent sales division in the South East with this important strategic appointment.

Reporting to the Regional CEO, your responsibility will be for a sales division of 160 staff (70 field, 90 telesales) producing revenues of circa £105 million. With full P&L responsibility, the role will encompass the provision of inspirational leadership to existing sales managers and their teams, strong performance management and a customer centric approach to retaining and enhancing profitability with both existing and new customers. Achievement of top quality results is mission critical, whilst developing and implementing innovative commercial solutions, key account management and sales organisational development will also be high on your agenda.

This role will require an individual of the highest calibre in terms of sales force leadership and commercial capability. Candidates will be experienced Sales Directors/leaders - perhaps with the headroom for future career growth - and with a successful track record of running a large, high achieving sales division. Your background will include experience of selling into the independent/wholesale/key account marketplaces with food, catering and beverage products all being of great relevance. Exceptional candidates from other associated sectors will also be welcomed.
