WMS has an opportunity for a talented Technical Operations Lead to join their UK operation.
You will be responsible for all the network infrastructure of the Online Casino, including site uploads, security, and service uptime. Ensure that the Internal Control System and security requirements are always met, both proactively (through monitoring, enforcement of documented guidelines and training) and reactively (responding to live situations as they arise). Strict adherence to all compliance, legal, and internal / operational controls will always remain a top priority.
Essential Job Functions:
? Responsibility to maintain the network security and integrity of the WMS online gaming environment.
? This is a 24/7 operation and thus this role and team is ?on call?.
? Troubleshoot all technical aspects associated with the online gaming business.
? Install platform software and web site updates as directed by the Development team.
? Install patches and manage any technical aspects of site operation that either falls outside the scope of the third party Service Level Agreements or is of sufficient importance that best practices dictate personal involvement.
? Ensure that the Service Level Agreements with the hosting / ISP / technical support companies deliver the required level of service
? Collaborate with the Director of Online Gaming Technologies in the specification of optimal hardware and software operating environments.
? Procure and direct implementation of platform hardware components and devices.
? Create and implement the security policy for the system, premises, and all employees or contractors. Implement network monitoring solutions and ensure that security is kept up to date.
? Act as the technical liaison between the Operations and Development groups, and the platform and web site hosting facility.
? Implement disaster recovery protocols and assure the availability of backup platform hardware.
? Provide timely performance reports and financial updates to Management as requested.
The ideal candidate for the position of Technical Operations Lead will be of graduate calibre within a technical discipline and thrive at hands on operations. You will be able to demonstrate experience within a technical leadership role in an enterprise online / ecommerce environment. You will have strong leadership qualities with excellent verbal and written communications skills. In particular you will have comprehensive knowledge of the following disciplines;
? Cisco networking specialist ? CCIE, CCNP, or CCNA
? Technical Support experience in an enterprise online /ecommerce environment
? Previous experience implementing and supporting VMWare vSphere or Infrastructure products in a production environment
? Microsoft Operating Systems specialist ? MCSE, MCSD, or MCSA
? Experience working in a regulated industry
? Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server databases ? MCDBA
? Experience of managing Service Level Agreements
Implementing Cisco network solutions ? (CCIE, CCNP, or CCNA preferred)
? Operating and supporting an enterprise online ecommerce or other regulated environment
? Designing and implementing Disaster Recovery protocols
? Implementing and supporting Storage Area Network (SAN) technology ? preferably on HP equipment
