As a Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for identifying commercial opportunities and providing transparent, data lead category based arguments which ultimately deliver the financial and strategic objectives whilst providing customers with incremental growth opportunities.
As you will be responsible for leading the internal alignment to the business priorities and key marketing activities to ensure that exceptional commitments deliver the operational plan, you will need to be tenacious, deadline driven and able to negotiate and influence others.
You excellent customer service and communication skills will enable you to provide visibility to key stake holders on the performance of the category strategy and its key commercial objectives enabling timely understanding on the effectiveness of the activities and with your excellent analytical skills you will be able to make recommendations on any required actions.
Some of your responsibilities:
? Developing a relationship with and presenting unbiased category insight and recommendations that will influence decision making and help grow the category ? Develop the strategic promotional guidelines for our brands and provide the support to enable our commercial teams to implement these with the trade ? Provide the supporting rationales to maximise our range and distribution opportunities ? Working closely with the Brand teams to develop strong insight-led commercial propositions and category, shopper & consumer centric trade presentations
We are looking for applicants who have proven commercial or category experience, having worked with multiple retailers in the UK. You would be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of category management techniques and have worked with IRI, TNS &/or Nielsen data. Your ability to think strategically, influence and convince others, along with your awareness and curiosity are of paramount importance.
