An exciting opportunity for a Food and Beverage Manager has now become available within their Samuels Restaurant, which caters for fifty covers and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Food and Beverage Manager will have full autonomy for the service of food and beverages within the restaurant and hotel. With seventeen direct reports, including an assistant restaurant manager, two supervisors, and a team of waiters, you will have responsibility for the smooth operation of room service, the bar and cookery school and the breakdown of conference rooms for events such as weddings, banquets and conferences. The Food and Beverage Manager will also be responsible for the P&L of liquor sales and expected to carry out additional duties as required by the senior management team.
The ideal candidate will already be positioned within a 3 rosette quality restaurant as an Assistant F&B Manager or F&B Manager and possess the management skills to run a highly successful restaurant, bar, banqueting, wedding and corporate functions. You will be able to manage your team objectively and professionally, giving guidance and assessing performance. You will have a comprehensive understanding of wines and liquors and able to guide both waiters and clients. As such, you will be an excellent communicator and have good organisational and time management skills.
