We take the humble coffee bean and turn it into a world famous brand, Nescafé. We do this right here in Hayes, at one of the most advanced factory sites you?ll ever come across. This high-speed, 24/7 operation is powered by 200 integrated PLC systems and run by 300 talented people. It?s a place that?s buzzing with energy, especially amongst the engineering maintenance team keeping the plant running at full tilt. They?re as much proactive as they are reactive, and you?ll need to be the same in your role as a Filling & Packing Maintenance Electrical/Mechanical Technician.
You?ll be carrying out a wide range of challenging tasks, including mechanical maintenance, electrical and control systems maintenance, fault diagnosis and plant repair, mechanical & electrical monitoring of our high speed production lines, and development, installation and commissioning of new equipment. All the time you?ll be helping to develop work systems and routines that advance our proactive maintenance culture and improve plant up-time.
To meet our high standards you?ll need technical experience of mechanical, electrical/control systems maintenance, fault finding and analysis in high speed filling and packaging equipment, together with exceptional drive and determination. In terms of qualifications, we?ll be looking for HNC/BTEC/C&G/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering, C&G 2391-1 , C&G 2380 and with good mechanical skills and experience and knowledge of Filling and Packing or high speed machinery. Good knowledge and practical experience within Health & Safety will also be needed.
Technical expertise apart, we?ll also be asking for above -average communications skills and adaptability.
